Saturday headlines before the Le Mans test day

in a reshuffle from the original plan of covering the IMSA race from Belle Isle, you are reading the latest news from some of the other sports car racing action taking place this weekend.  We will have a report on the IMSA race tomorrow, and then, the race report from Blancpain GT Endurance at Paul Ricard at the beginning of next week.  Here now, is the Saturday news from Le Mans.

Porsche will pay homage to two of their legendary liveries at Le Mans in LM GTE Pro, with one car carrying the Rothmans livery, and another carrying the livery of the “pink pig” Porsche 917.

Today’s IMSA race from Detroit

Because of overcast conditions in the area where yours truly lives, the low ceiling has prevented a useful TV signal for watching the IMSA race.  Yours truly will use the onboard camera feeds from the IMSA app to watch, and then, might find time to fully report on the race after it happens.  In lieu of a race report from Detroit today, stay tuned for either more Blancpain GT pre-race from Paul Ricard, or, coverage of the Nurburgring 24 Hours.  Yours truly has not decided which one, yet.  But, rest assured, there will be sports car action covered today even if that means a report on the IMSA race is delayed.
