Could Ferrari come back to top level sports car racing, at Le Mans? It's been 41 years, since Ferrari last entered a factory backed prototype race car at Le Circuit de la Sarthe in 1973 with the Sefac Ferrari 312 PB's. Three cars entered the race. Only one, finished. The Carlos Pace and Arturo Merzario driven 312PB finished second, while the other two cars, (driven by Jacky Ickx and Brian Redman, and by Tim Schenken and Carlos Reuteman), didn't finish the race, after both fell out with engine problems.
