GM is at a crossroads about continuing in prototype racing after 2016, because in 2017, the new formula will call for P2 class coupes coming into the Tudor Championship, and the current spec Daytona Prototype cars, carried over from the Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series into the Tudor Championship, after the merger, eventually becoming obsolete.
