With the announcement by the ACO of the 2017 LMP2 regulations, and the fact that those regulations will seemingly be very limiting, and have sports car racing purists pulling their hair out and running screaming into the night, could doing away with prototypes, and having a GT3 spec endurance championship here in the United States (like the Blancpain Series in Europe), be the ultimate solution?
