With his win for McLaren at the Bathurst 12 Hours, Shane van Gisbergen, joins his Kiwi compatriots Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, as winners, in a major endurance sports car race. Of course, Amon and McLaren, won, for Ford, for the first time, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 50 years ago.
