Modern LMP1 prototype racing cars, do indeed have sophisticated electronics. But, let us go beyond wizardry of gadgets, and just examine the fact, that these brutes produce well in the realm of 1,000 horsepower. We are currently (for the first time, in many ways, since the Group C era of the 1980s), in the golden age of prototype sports car racing.
