After clashes between Australian Supercars and GT racing, Shane van Gisbergen has left McLaren, and racing in Europe, and will now join Mercedes, to race in the car that also has the series sponsor, in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. WeatherTech Racing will race a new Mercedes AMG GT3.
