John Paul Sr.

A great sports car racing driver, but someone with a dark, troubled past, John Paul Sr., was born on this day, March 12th, 1939.  Paul Sr. would win in class in the 1978 24 Hours of Le Mans, and win the 1979 SCCA Trans Am championship.  But, as you will read in the link, Paul Sr., though he won championships, his other activities outside of racing, led to his downfall.
