News Flash before the Petit Le Mans

We do have some more news to cover before today's season finale for the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, the 23rd renewal of the Motul Petit Le Mans, gets underway.  This news includes the debut rendering of BMW's LMDh contender, and oh man, this design is unreal.  Be prepared to be blown away!

Reflecting on the end of an era as today marks the final race in IMSA, ever, for the GT Le Mans category.  So many amazing manufacturer's and cars have contributed to this class for the better part of a decade.  We will miss it.

Drivers Reflect on End of IMSA's GTLM Era

Some of the GTLM cars will continue worldwide in GTE Pro in the FIA World Endurance Championship for another couple of years, so they haven't gone away entirely.  It will be hard to get used to not seeing them in the IMSA paddock and on grid from next year onwards, though.

Before we begin, however, a couple late breaking news stories including a pre-race driver change.  Kevin Magnussen is ill, and so, the #01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac, will have Earl Bamber as the third driver alongside Renger van der Zande and Scott Dixon.
