Playing the waiting game

A wee while ago, back on Wednesday, I had mentioned some driver information with respect to Action Express and that our team was testing new candidates to drive both the #31 and #48 entries in January's 60th anniversary renewal of the American sports car classic that goes twice 'round the clock at Daytona International Speedway.  I must say, nothing yet has been confirmed.  We shall continue to wait and see what happens.  It is expected though that AXR will once again have a strong lineup with the two-car team.  There are sponsorships and so forth that must be worked out, but, watch this space for updates as we get closer to the 2022 season.  After our run to the championship in 2021, it can be expected that we will do everything we can to defend our title, although, defending a championship is always more difficult.  We have a lot on our plate this season with the final year of the five-year run with the Cadillac DPi-V.R and testing and tuning on the new Cadillac LMDh-V.R which makes it's debut in 2023.  By then the competition will have stepped up in a massive way.

LMDh is going to see no fewer than five top motorcar brands competing for honors in the WeatherTech Championship, all with factory supported teams.  You will see Cadillac and General Motors, racing against the likes of Acura (Honda North America), Porsche AG and Audi, from the Volkswagen Group, and BMW (Bavarian Motorwerks) North America, all vying for top honors in LMDh.  What we will see is a true renaissance in sports car racing, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the days of the IMSA Grand Touring Prototype era in the '80s and early '90s, or, for that matter, the very early days of the old American Le Mans Series and the beginnings of the FIA WEC.

Looking ahead, the future is bright.  For Action Express, we have some exciting prospects coming up, but, said prospects are yet to be official.  We shall see what the whole deal involves in due course.  Again, watch this space.
