The first of two historic GT races honoring the recent past of the 24 Hours of Spa which became a race for GT sports cars in 2001 after a number of years being a touring car event, at one time for the European Touring Car Championship, but then falling into a brief and forgettable phase of hatchback cars racing such as Honda Civic's and Peugeot 306's. But the magic came back two decades ago and has been there ever since.
Let's join David Addison and John Watson for the call of this race marking the 30th anniversary of SRO which was founded by the one and the only Stephane Ratel, in 1992. There is a second race for the historic cars coming tomorrow. Maybe that one will also be posted before we get going with the 2022 event. Again, stay tuned, and enjoy this exhibition race. This is fun to watch.
