EDITORIAL: Looking into the Crystal Ball, I see, success

OK.  The original title of this editorial saying I am "pleased as punch" to find out this news, well, I was just in a bit of a hurry to find something.  That is the understatement of the day for this Thursday!  The truth is this development couldn't be better for our team at Action Express.  This is mega!  I mean, this is going to continue our momentum, in a big way, or big style, as I like to say quite often.  Read on to find out more.

Wow.  The hits just keep on coming for my buddies at Action Express Racing!  Believe you me, everyone on the team, are on a roll!  We have the 2023 championship in our pocket, and now comes the news, that our 2024 driver lineup for the #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac V Series R GTP is complete!  Pipo Derani and Jack Aitken will be joined by the Englishman, Tom Blomqvist, who has been a prototype racing champion before.  Concurrently, he also drives in the NTT IndyCar Series.  Blomqvist, a former Rolex 24 winner, he shall boost our driver lineup even more.  The confirmation of the signing for him to join our team, per my friend and Patron d'equipe, Bob Johnson, came on the weekend of the Indianapolis IMSA race last month.  This inclusion of Tom on the team, is sure to help us not only maintain consistency for the endurance races, but also have more chances to replicate recent triumphs, such as this year's victory for the team at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Blomqvist will separately drive in IndyCar.  But he will indeed be our third bullet in the gun for the endurance races which will surely put our competition on notice, that we mean business and will be in contention for all five Michelin Endurance Cup races in 2024.  The Rolex 24 at Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, Six Hours of Watkins Glen, Six Hours of Indianapolis, and Petit Le Mans.  We have the entire package.  The team, the drivers, the car, the sponsorship support from the folks at Whelen Engineering.  To our competition, I have this to say.

If you look back over your shoulder, or in your rearview mirror, as we demonstrated at Petit Le Mans on the way to the 2023 championship, you may just see a bright red Cadillac.  We intend to race you fairly and cleanly but know that we are not sitting down and playing it safe.  We are going to go for it and race you for the victory.  Our mission has not changed and never will.  At Action Express, it is our goal, our expectation, to win races.  Bring on 2024!  See everybody at Daytona Beach for the Rolex 24.  Go for it, Action Express.  You've got this.  Cannot wait for the season ahead!
