We know now how much success Porsche is having with the 919 Hybrid in the FIA World Endurance Championship. But, would you believe, that in 1999, they developed an open cockpit LMP1 racer, that was top secret? The car, was supposed to race, but it never did. When I was younger and had just begun following the world of sports car racing, admittedly, I was very upset that they never raced this car.
