Pirelli World Challenge news before Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport)

Pirelli World Challenge Sprint action is set to take place this weekend, north of the border in Canada, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport Park), in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada.  But, unlike previous years, this round is not a SprintX event.  It is just a Sprint race, meaning there will be two 50 minute races, with just one driver in each car.  Stay tuned.  This is the news leading up to the race and from the opening practices.  Qualifying and race one highlights will come, tomorrow, as will coverage of Pirelli World Challenge’s sister Series, Blancpain GT Endurance Cup, from Silverstone, England.
