After the shemozzle yesterday, yours truly was very upset about what happened to Action Express. More about that, in another post. Had no time or chance, to highlight the results/class winners. So, that shall be done, right now. In DPi and overall, it was the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R, winning with Renger van der Zande, Ryan Briscoe, and Scott Dixon, earning their second endurance race win of the year and second overall win in 2020 after triumphing at the season opening Rolex 24 at Daytona back in January, before the pandemic. In the LMP2 class, it was the #8 Tower Motorsports by Starworks entry. That Oreca 07 LMP2 car was shared by drivers John Farano, Mikkel Jensen, and Job van Uitert (two young sports car drivers, from Europe, who have bright futures). GT Le Mans honors go the way of Porsche and their #911 car shared by Nick Tandy, Fred Makowiecki, and Matt Campbell.
The victory in GT Daytona competition goes to the #63 Scuderia Corse WeatherTech Ferrari 488 GT3 in the hands of Jeff Westphal, Alessandro Balzan, and Cooper MacNeil. Once again, your winners.
Overall/DPi: #10 van der Zande/Briscoe/Dixon Cadillac DPi-V.R

Two more races remain in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. The next one is the final sprint event of the season, at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, on the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California, coming up in two weeks.
