IMSA chasing a new dawn for it's prototype field

Even with LMDh on the horizon in 2023, we still wonder, will IMSA's car count for their future races, continue to grow?  Coming up on almost a year ago, yours truly was at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with a 38 car grid assembled for the marquee event of the championship, wondering.  I thought to myself, "OK, this is good, but I know IMSA can do better."  Will the new division's debut in 2023, help their cause?  Fingers crossed it does.  Racer magazine has the story.
