Stock Car Endurance Racing?

From the 2000 Paul Revere 250 at Daytona International Speedway on the old Speedvision network (blimey! those were the days!), yes, a stock car in an endurance sports car race.  Garage 56 will not be the first time that has happened.  Stock cars I believe, especially if you go back to the Dodge Charger of Dick Brooks' team and the Ford Torino for Junie Donlavey Racing, at the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans, they have a history in endurance sports car racing.

Bob Varsha and David Hobbs, two of the best in the business broadcasting the races, who are now both retired from commentary, call the action on this one.  Footage via friskynixon and jinjabreadman46.
