At the end of the 2023 World Endurance Season, the WEC said goodbye to GTE, with the Iron Dames making history that'll probably go ignored by a lot of motorsport fans because 'it ain't F1'.
It'll be replaced by the cheaper GT3s, allowing for the old sub-categories to be set up again in the future, but with the sheer demand for Hypercar slots and how popular GT3 is, along with the crossover now with the WEC and IMSA in America, the future of endurance racing is looking good.
