WeatherTech Championship Headlines (continued)

Continuing to look at relevant stories for the IMSA WeatherTech Championship over the offseason.  Some of these stories, I believe, were covered in that recently posted video from Off in the Esses.  There's plenty of information that will be jammed into this latest post.  Check it out at your leisure and of course, there have been some previous announcements that have been discussed on the blog that have been public knowledge in the sports car racing hemisphere for a wee while now.

This first story is relevant to FIA WEC and IMSA.  Porsche is still having supply chain issues.  To quickly editorialize, it seems like the horrors of the global pandemic are pretty much over.  We have been out of it for a while.  Is the supply chain an actual situation?  Or is this an excuse?  Is that the reason they are having trouble building more cars, or is it something else?

Supply Chain Limited Porsche's 2024 LMDh Allocations

To add, Porsche is the only Hypercar brand that is supplying customer cars to anybody.  All of the other brands are aligned with factory backed teams, while Porsche has Penske with their factory teams in IMSA and WEC and additional customer cars.

I might analyze and run down the entry list in another post, should time permit me to do so.  Stay tuned for that.
