Here are the stories you should be aware of as we look ahead to this weekend's Asian Le Mans Series race, the third of five rounds in the championship (so, essentially, the halfway mark in the 2023-2024 campaign), the 4 Hours of Dubai. Unlike the openers in Malaysia and the finale in Abu Dhabi, which feature two races within the same weekend, the cream filling in the cookie, the jam in the sandwich, will feature a single four-hour race to earn championship points in all classes before the finale doubleheader which determines two things. Champions for 2023-2024 and remaining automatic invitations to the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Sports car racing, is my passion and I have been dedicated to it for well over two decades. A great quote from Steve McQueen in his 1971 movie, when he starred as Gulf Porsche driver Michael Delaney, comes to mind. "Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after, is just waiting." - Steve McQueen From the movie, "Le Mans" - 1971

I am still working out a way to cover this race for you as I have yet to see any kind of condensed highlights package distributed for it. Covering the whole four-hour race might take longer than I want it to especially with all these endurance races that typically begin the sports car racing season. However, I shall cover the entire event, at some point, if indeed that is what I must do. Stay tuned.
