This weekend, we will be taking a brief hiatus from covering the Le Mans Cup and European Le Mans Series races. Behind the scenes, I assure you, I am still putting those race reports together. However, the main focus, nee the priority, this weekend will be on round two of the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the GT3 cars from SRO for the second round of the championship, the Joburg Kyalami 9 Hours, at the Kyalami Motor Racing circuit in Johannesburg, South Africa. That event, though small fields are to be expected, yields plenty of action and has done so over the last few years since it's revival as a round of the IGTC. There will be more racing beginning soon as the season kicks into high gear in the month of March. SRO, IMSA, FIA World Endurance, there will be a bucketload of things coming up.
Yours truly is doing all he can to keep up with everything and bring it to you in the written, typed word. That really is the purpose of this blog in the first place, to bring you as close as possible to the action, thrills, and spills of endurance sports car racing, in words. Looking forward to continuing the journey. Excited for the action at Kyalami this weekend, and rest assured, there is plenty more to come. Stay tuned.
