WeatherTech Championship news headed for the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen

Lots of news to discuss in preparation for the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen on Sunday which effectively begins the second half of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship season.

First up, something that was known not to happen.  My friends at Action Express will not team up with Hendrick Motorsports in the GTP era.

If you think about it, Rick Hendrick actually already had cars in the first iteration of GTP back in the 1980s.  He was owner/manager of the short-lived Corvette GTP team in 1985 and '86 with drivers such as David Hobbs, Sarel van der Merwe, and Doc Bundy.
