GM Rules Out Full Factory Corvette GT3 Team in 2024

So, the factory Corvette program shall end after this year and the cars will very likely be turned over to privateer entrants in GTD Pro and/or GTD in WeatherTech Championship competition, next year.  

After racing a lot in Europe and Asia between the European Le Mans Series, FIA World Endurance Championship, and Asian Le Mans Series, United Autosports will come stateside and race full-time in the LMP2 class in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship since the FIA WEC has eliminated LMP2 and IMSA will be holding onto that platform of race cars for the foreseeable future.

United Autosports Moves to IMSA Full-Time in 2024

It should be noted, as team principal Richard Dean states in the article, that their Asian Le Mans Series and European Le Mans Series efforts will continue in addition to the IMSA program.  They are just moving the WEC program over to IMSA due to the aforementioned elimination of LMP2 from WEC.
