OPINION: O Lamborghini, where art thou?

The thought that the new Lamborghini SC63 would be ready for the 2024 Rolex 24, is a pipe dream.  Lamborghini Squadra Corsa needs to do more testing.  Uh um.  Lamborghini, while you have been dyno testing your engine, it is like being in school.  You are given an assignment and a due date.  You miss the due date and therefore, your grades go down when you miss turning in the assignments.  Sorry... not sorry, that you blokes missed the boat on this one.

You will be behind the eight ball and playing catch up, while our team at Cadillac and Action Express Racing is going to leave you in the dust at the starting line.  V8 power, twin turbos etc., are all well and good.  The car is designed commendably, and yes, the front end of it does have a resemblance to your company's legendary Countach of the 1970s.  While your company founder, Feruccio Lamborghini, is an automotive legend and a hero to fans, this tardiness to the starting line is a wee bit unacceptable.

I must admit, the lime green paint, which is Lamborghini's official race team colors, leaves something to be desired.  It is a very garish looking.  While they have chosen some top drivers either as new signings or from their original GT3 talent pool, what good are great drivers with a car that will be delayed in it's introduction due to being late, late, late in the development process?  Again, to the folks in Bologna, in Italy, just like anything else, when deadlines are given, they are meant to be on time.  You've missed the boat, and also missed out on eating the victory cake at the Rolex 24.  Your competition, especially from a certain red Cadillac, will be leaving you in their tire tracks.

Lamborghini... if you are serious about winning, which you may certainly be according to your promotional material... this is not the start you want to get off to, on the wrong foot.  Three wheels on me wagon.  You are a day late and about a kilometer short on this one.  Arriva derci auto verde.  Ciao.
