In LM GTE Am, we have a new leader. The #77 Dempsey Proton Porsche 911 RSR in the hands of German's Julian Andlauer and Christian Ried, as well as Aussie Matt Campbell. Trouble, too for the #70 MR Racing Ferrari 488 GTE for MR Racing shared by Eddie Cheever III., Motoaki Ishikawa, and veteran sports car racer and winner Olivier Berretta. The all-Malaysian Jackie Chan DC Racing car is in pit lane, as Weiran Tan did some rallycross and did damage to the undercarriage of that automobile. The #48 car which earned pole in LMP2, is fourth in class, but is struggling. That's the automobile of Paul Loup Chatin, Paul Lafargue, and Memo Rojas, the IDEC Sport entry.
Matevos Isaakyan is still having issues. It's going to be game over, more than likely. Corvette vs. Ford GT again, and Tony Kanaan battles Jan Magnussen. Rear damage is extensive on the #17 car. Matevos Isaakyan's issues continue. So does the battle in LM GTE Pro in the Dunlop esses. Pippo Derani in the Ferrari vs. Richard Westbrook in the Ford. Laurens Vanthoor, Fred Makowiecki, and Nick Tandy, lead LM GTE Pro for Porsche. The #11 SMP car was in the pit lane. Slow zones are regulated and controlled speed zones. A waved yellow is speed at the discretion of the driver. Both Nick Tandy and Fred Makowiecki won the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring earlier this year. Again, a promise. Yours truly hopes to cover that soon.
Jean Eric Vergne is moving up the order, in an LMP2 car. Could LMP2 cars creep up to battle the LMP1's? It nearly happened last year. Toyota #8 is in the pit lane and Sebastien Buemi is at the wheel of it. #17 is off the o=road without the rear deck and blown rear tires. Game over. The team manager for SMP has been summoned to the Race Director, and he will have to see Edoardo Freitas to explain what was going wrong. Laurens Vanthoor is in the pit lane with the "Pink Pig". One of the BMW's is also pitting right now.
More problems for Ginetta as Mike Simpson has brought car #6 into the garage. We have seen LM GTE Pro and LM GTE Am pit action, too. We have just seen one of the Porsche's return to pit lane and there's have beeen some cars stopped on the road. Yours truly is having real trouble keeping the satellite signal and the picture to see what is going on.
