24 Hours of Le Mans: Hour 11

Spin for the Duqiene car and he was in danger zone at Mulsanne.  He will have to back up and turn around after finding forward and reverse both.  Thank God he got out of the way in a country road lane and a bit.  Richard Bradley at the controls.  He lost it all on his own and almost gets slammed by the Alpine!  Blimey!  Matthieu Vaxiviere keeps pushing.  Duqueine ready for a driver change or so it seems.  Richard Bradley was already on his in lap.  A battle developing in GTE Pro as Corvette #64 of Alexander Sims closing up on Daniel Serra in Ferrari #52.  Chassis damage on the #777 D'station Aston Martin, that was caused by chassis damage and by something else we are trying to find out now.  It was, as the #44 ARC Bratislava car pits, it would be, well... we'll find out.

Daniel Serra in the Ferrari in GTE Pro is pushing.  Suspension and chassis damage for the #777 Aston Martin.  Chassis damage caused by an impact between the chassis and the planet.  Vanthoor and Milesi chasing each other in LMP2.  There is a Vanwall Hypercar that needs to be sorted but the team does not own the name.  They could get another name.  Just offer the money for the name.  Acquire the rights instead of paying the legal fees.  Corvette #63, have we found out what happened to that thing?  Did we get too much cake in it?  Did something break?  We'll have to see.  Night time is the right time to be with the one you love, as we have said before.  Meanwhile, Pierre Ehret scribbles his way off the road.

Oliver Jarvis catching the TDS Racing entry.  The #32 WRT LMP2 is in the lane.  We will not see a works Aston Martin Hypercar because they wanted to go to Formula 1.  Either a factory builds it, or a factory approves you spending your own cash to build a car in Hypercar or LMDh.  Maximum horsepower at 850-900 horsepower but they said no because Aston Martin spends their cash on F1.  Toyota #7 in the lane.  Aston Martin will indeed build GT3 cars when GT3 comes here in a couple years.

Jaguar are also still missing but their stock is running out.  Jaguar, are you there?  Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no.  Oh stop it!  There will be more brands coming in in the next couple years for Hypercar or GTP.  The supply chain and war nonsense will delay it, but, it is coming.  #13 to the lane.  Sean Gelael being harried by Louis Deletraz.  Dry, cool, clear weather is great for racing, for the cars, the tires, and the drivers.  Gelael pushed to the pit wall!  Yikes!  Deletraz in the #9 Prema entry moves ahead.  We are also seeing Oliver Jarvis reeling in Felipe Nasr in LMP2.  Toyota #8 pitting from the race lead after #7 stopped a lap earlier.  Lopez and Hartley both take triple stints.

Ferrari #54 in the lane while the #46 Project 1 Porsche is a very sad, disassembled, retired race car.  Into the lane, the #22 United Autosport car.  In the last two years, Porsche factory drivers have been cut back.  There is only one Junior driver for Porsche this year.  Thomas Merrill leads LM GTE Am in the #79 WeatherTech Porsche.  We are seeing a lot of pit stops really in replay but we have had a lot of pit action.  Thomas Merrill leading Martin Rump and David Pittard I think.  This is the GTE-Am top three.  #39 for Graff Racing in the lane, Siwss driver, David Droux at the controls.

That is Paul Dalla Lana in the #98 Aston being passed by the #33 Aston of Marco Sorensen.  Poor old Paul Dalla Lana has had bad luck here at Le Mans.  He is also one of the best Bronze rated drivers and is good bloke, a true gentleman.  Marco Sorensen third in GTE Am right now.  We saw Kristian Poulsen win Road To Le Mans in GT3.  OK.  I just gave that away.  Now, we will hear more about those races next week.  Charles Milesi still having the blowtorch applied from Mirko Bortolotti.  Just under 13 and a half hours to go.  Long, long way.  Stay with us.

#47 has just pitted.  WeatherTech Porsche are coming to the lane.  Thomas Merrill has had a double stint and we will see.  Will it be Julien Andlauer or Cooper MacNeil getting in the car?  Filipe Albuquerque is now in the #22 United Autosports car while Alex Lynn I believe is in #23.  Charles Milesi may have just put Filipe Albuquerque a lap down.  They are coming down to Mulsanne corner I believe.  Again, we have just seen the #79 Porsche into the lane.  Marco Sorensen has moved up as Martin Rump pitted and stayed with the car for the #99 Hardpoint Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19.

Charles Milesi and Dries Vanthoor are still at it and closing up on Alex Lynn.  Brendon Hartley in the meantime leading by 25 seconds over the sister #7 Toyota.  The D'station Aston Martin clobbered the sausage curb.  Busted.  A golden moon at Le Mans indeed.  Jose Maria Lopez told he has 30 secojds to Brendown Hartley but it is actually 23 and a half seconds down.  The gap is not coming down.  Lopez is not making inroads on Brendon Hartley.  Richard Westbrook has pitted the #709 Glickenhaus, and we have seen pit work from the LMP2's as well as several battles in the class.

27 LMP2's still running.  Ferrari #55 now in the lane as well.  David Perel for Spirit of Race, a car that has been in the garage for a wee while, maybe for a brake change.  The #38 Jota LMP2 has also pitted.  Jota do lead LMP2 and of course, they have two entries.  Penske #5 also in the lane in the hands again fo Felipe Nasr, for fuel only.  Nasr has now run a triple or quadruple stint, but he has done only one stint in this run.  Oliver Rasmussen has been clicking off solid stints in the #28, the sister Jota entry who just got into the car taking over from Ed Jones who did a triple.  Ben Hanely is taking over one of the cars.  Dries Vanthoor now in the lane in LMP2 in #32.

Mirko Bortolotti, Rolf Ineichen, and Dries Vanthoor, as we see Sara Bovy un the Iron Dames #85 Ferrari along with Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting, way down the order.  GTE Am led by the WeatherTech Porsche.  Marco Sorensen followed by Nikki Thiim.  Martin Rump third.  Romain Dumas in Glickenhaus #708 is just about to gain more places as we see Nyck De Vries in the #13 TDS Racing entry in the lane.  Romain Dumas is chasing and passing Ricky Taylor and now working past Julien Canal.  He has a minute to make up on Sean Gelael.  #708 Glickenhaus is recovering.

Glickenhaus #709 third as we are getting to the witching hour.  Panis Racing hanging on as Julien Canal is catching Cool Racing and the aforementioned Ricky Taylor.  Julien Canal is ahead of Felipe Nasr and now the Glickenhaus is in the pit lane.  I wonder if the Glickenhaus needs a disco ball.  Interesting.  In GTE Pro, the #92 factory Porsche is in the pit lane from the GTE Pro lead.  Alexander Sims in the #64 Corvette C8.R is second in GTE Pro.  Corvette in the garage being serviced.  I think that is the #63 but I can't be too sure.  Yes.  #64 on track.

The Corvette's are still having issues.  Whamo, alacazam, the #63 in a spot of bother as Jose Maria Lopez steps out of the Toyota and in goes the boss, Kamui Kobayashi.  President of Toyota Gazoo Racing.
