Rest up, everybody. Tomorrow, it is the big race. It is the 90th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, officially, before the big centenary celebration happening next year. Here' all the news you can use before we go racing including a replacement driver for one of the senior drivers who has been deemed too dangerous to race against. This is a serious story, and while we are never happy to see a driver not able to race, this situation is different. The particular driver mentioned in one of the articles seems to be a hazard not only to himself, but to other competitors on the track, and was actually asked not to compete for the safety of himself and others.
Sports car racing, is my passion and I have been dedicated to it for well over two decades. A great quote from Steve McQueen in his 1971 movie, when he starred as Gulf Porsche driver Michael Delaney, comes to mind. "Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after, is just waiting." - Steve McQueen From the movie, "Le Mans" - 1971
