Action Express have begun their Le Mans journey and ended up in around 13th place after a track limits penalty for Pipo Derani in one of the sessions. This is very much a learning experience. We are one of three Cadillac V Series R's in the Hypercar class carrying the #311 for the Whelen Cadillac. What we as a team are doing is definitely learning the process and how Le Mans works. This is a very different deal compared to what we have been used to in many, many years of running in the WeatherTech Championship. We are in this for ourselves, but, in a way, we are also in this for Cadillac as part of a three-car effort along with the two Chip Ganassi Cadillac's, which to me, they can mind their own business.
Action Express is the team I am focused on. My hope is that we can and we will find pace. That is indeed what we are going to need, is pace. It is possible indeed. I know Pipo Derani, Alexander Sims, and Jack Aitken will do everything and drive extremely well. Our win at the 12 Hours of Sebring, was no fluke. Le Mans has much, much more competition considering the other Hypercars we are going to be running against. But I have all the confidence in the world in our team, in our drivers, in our staff who run the team. Pipo, Alexander, Jack, Bob, Tim, Gary, Chris, and everyone else who makes Action Express who we are. We'll see how things happen in qualifying, and am hopeful and confident that we will be able to qualify well and finish the world's greatest endurance race.
Stay tuned, folks. This race is going to be mega.
