Sunday at Le Mans for the official test day

All you need to know from the official test day at Le Mans this Sunday for the 24 Hours next weekend.

Giovinazzi "Really Proud" to Represent Ferrari at Le Mans

Ferrari Quickest as No. 7 Toyota Crashes in First Test Session

Giovinazzi Quickest in Le Mans Test Day for Ferrari

So, looking at today and what happened, it is easy to see The Prancing Horse is the quickest of the lot at least in the Hypercar class.  Toyota, the sister Ferrari, and one of the factory Porsche 963's from Porsche Penske Motorsports were also in the fight with other teams such as Cadillac, Peugeot, Glickenhaus and Vanwall down the order.  The best of the Cadillac's was the #2 entry for Chip Ganassi Racing, their full-time World Endurance Championship entry.

Funny how the NASCAR Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro was faster than any of the GTE cars even though the Camaro ZL1 #24 of Jimmie Johnson, Mike Rockenfeller, and Jenson Button, is purely an experimental entry that is far lighter than the typical Generation 7 NASCAR Cup car and has some trick aerodynamics, more power, and much less weight than a typical Cup car.  It has to be a real hot rod because it was faster than any of the GTE Am cars meaning the Porsche 911 RSR's, Ferrari 488's, Aston Martin Vantage's, or it's sister GM and Chevrolet product, the Corvette C8.R.

We have seen the video of that car and clearly, though it cannot run for classification or credit, that Camaro is a beast!  Good on Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports for giving it the old college try and having a fair go at it.
