After a season that was not to the expectations of our team in 2024, it is time now, to turn the page. It is time now, for a new beginning, a fresh start, a new day is dawning for Action Express and our brilliant, red #31 Whelen Engineering sponsored Cadillac GTP car. We come into 2025 with a revamped, refreshed lineup of drivers who are out there to win. Jack Aitken, our British born talent who we've had as part of the team now since 2023, returns for his third season at AXR and we have two new recruits. Earl Bamber from New Zealand will be our second driver for the full 2025 campaign. Bamber, used to be a rival, when he raced for the now defunct Chip Ganassi Cadillac team particularly at the Rolex 24 and also in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
It is great that Earl Bamber is on our team because he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge having driven for Cadillac and GM before. He will be a fighter, for victories at every level, in both the sprint and endurance races as he is teaming up with Jack Aitken for the duration of the 2025 season. Bamber is one fast Kiwi! He has also had success with other manufacturers through the years including an overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. His experience, his knowledge behind the wheel of a Cadillac prototype, will be a fabulous asset for the team at Action Express under the leadership of team boss Bob Johnson, team manager Gary Nelson, driver coordinator Peter Baron, and all of the people who make our team what it is. A championship winner. A championship contender. A race winner. I always had a hunch that Earl Bamber might just be a great fit with our team especially since he has GM and Cadillac connections currently, to begin with.
I believe that this driver lineup is set to turn our fortunes around and bring us the success we have known especially in the recent past. With Jack Aitken's and Earl Bamber's consistency, and with a fresh face for the endurance events in Fred Vesti, I believe Action Express will be a force to be reckoned with for all of the races, endurance and sprint, within the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship season. To all of our competition, when you see a red Cadillac in your mirrors, you will know who it is and you will know we will race you in a clean, fair manner, but race to win nonetheless.
Bring on 2025! I can't wait!
