On the eve of the 24 Hours of Spa, here is everything you need to know about the latest developments before the race, and within the realm of the Intercontinental GT Challenge championship itself, looking to the future, as the 2025 race schedule has indeed been confirmed by the SRO and the man with his name on the door and who signs the paperwork, Mr. Stephane Ratel.
24H Spa Debut "Stepping Stone" in Hartog's Porsche Journey
An expanded 2025 schedule for the Intercontinental GT Challenge for 2025 with a return to the Suzuka circuit in Japan for the first time since 2019, before the global pandemic. Next year, instead of a ten-hour race, it will be a 1,000-kilometer event. All the other traditional races feature on the schedule and notice back-to-back 24-hour races with the Nürburgring and Spa Francorchamps. That will have many teams on their toes to be fully prepared even though the Nürburgring and Spa Francorchamps are not far apart in terms of distance between the two fabled racetracks. Bathurst and Mount Panorama will open the season in February with the Bathurst 12 Hours and the season concludes with the traditional fall finale, the Indianapolis 8 Hours to be held at "The Brickyard", the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
